Library continuing with curbside service during Provincial lockdown

With the Province into another COVID-19 lockdown, the Chatham-Kent Public Library is continuing curbside service at all library locations as of April 8, 2021.

For the detailed hours of curbside service, contact your local branch or visit CKPL online at www.ckpl.ca.

“Please return all library materials to outside book returns only,” library officials said in a media release.

“While COVID protocols are in place, items like Launchpads and Binge Boxes can be returned through the book returns, while larger items like Play Packs and Storykits can be returned through curbside. CKPL will continue to quarantine all returns for a minimum of 72 hours.”

Library officials say regular loan periods are now in effect.

“All library overdue fees were reinstated on January 2, 2021,” library officials say.

“If you have library materials that have been checked out since before CKPL’s closure, please return them to your nearest branch at your earliest convenience. Library staff will be glad to review this information with you as needed.”

Spring break programming, offered virtually, will begin as planned starting on Monday, April 12.

Contact your local CKPL branch for more details and watch for more details on the programs on the Sydenham Current.

Having trouble with your card? It may be expired, library officials say.
