Chatham woman wins $100,000 lottery prize

Lola Demars of Chatham is $100,000 richer after winning with Instant Payline Multiplier.

Demars, a 40-year-old mother of three, said she played her ticket in her car and saw right away that she was a winner, OLG officials say.

“I waited two days before going to the store, because I wanted to wait until the store owner was there to experience the win together,” Demars said, in a media release.

The administrative assistant plans to use her winnings to pay students loans and invest.

“I told my children they can all redecorate their rooms,” she said.

“This is unbelievable.”

In accordance with government-issued lockdown measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, OLG is currently limiting the number of in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to only those that require a face-to-face interview.

Customers with prizes over $50,000 are asked to call 1-800-387-0098 to discuss available prize claim options.

Prize claims up to $49,999.90 should continue to be submitted by mail.

OLG officials say the health and safety of their customers and employees remains their top priority and OLG looks forward to providing future updates on the availability of in-person prize claims.

Instant Payline Multiplier is available for $5 and the top prize is $100,000.

Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.96.

The winning ticket was purchased at Lacroix Variety on Lacroix Street in Chatham.
