Cogeco officials say St. Angela’s Meadow Retirement Lodge and Meadow Park Chatham Kent staff received lunches to show appreciation for all of the hard work they do, especially over the past year as Chatham-Kent deals with the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The commitment of staff in retirement and long-term care homes throughout this pandemic cannot be overlooked,” said Terry Doyle, manager of programming and community relations for Cogeco Southwestern Ontario, in a media release.

“Over the past year, many of these workers have had to put their own lives on-hold to ensure the care and safety of our seniors, while also keeping their own families safe. This gesture is a small token of appreciation, dedicated to all healthcare workers in Chatham-Kent.”
