Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory across Chatham-Kent.
“Some plants may be damaged or even destroyed by frost,” forecasters say, adding that “a large swath of southern Ontario” may be impacted.
“Areas near the lakeshore may be mild enough to limit frost.”
The frost is expected nightly for several more nights through mid week.
“Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees,” forecasters added.
