Police Week: CKPS highlights their partnership with PAWR

As part of ‘Police Week’, the Chatham-Kent Police Service is highlighting their partnership with Pet & Wildlife Rescue.

Police officials say at times, keeping the community safe, includes working with PAWR to ensure everyone’s ‘furry best friends’ are loved and properly cared for.

This includes education around ‘No Hot Pets’ and how to report suspected neglect or abuse.

“Animal control services are a key component in helping make our community safe for both people and animals,” stated Ben Van Eyk, Manager of Animal Control Services.

“At PAWR, we promote responsible pet ownership through education and through the enforcement of various animal related laws. We are grateful for the good working relationship we have with our local Police Service.”
