Full house for COVID-19 vaccination clinic held at Wallaceburg Arena

A steady flow of people went through Wallaceburg Memorial Arena on Friday, May 21, 2021 for a mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic hosted by the Chatham-Kent Vaccination Team.

A total of 10 stations were setup on the arena floor and, reports say, more than 1,100 people received a shot of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at the clinic on Friday.

“Proud to report that I just had my first vaccine at the Wallaceburg pop up clinic,” Jill Misselbrook, the executive director for the Wallaceburg & District Chamber of Commerce, posted on social media.

“Kudos to (the Chatham-Kent Vaccination Team) they are doing a great job, so well organized and not frightening at all.”

The Wallaceburg clinic had been fully booked for more than a week.
