House fire in Dresden causes $350,000 damage

Firefighters responded to a blaze in Dresden on Friday, May 28, 2021.

“Crews from Station #6 – Dresden and Station #5 – Tupperville responded to a fire at 1381 North St in Dresden at 12:39 p.m. this afternoon,” fire officials said in a media release.

“Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. No injuries. CKFES prevention team investigated the cause and determined it was accidental. The fire started from an appliance in the kitchen.”

Damage is pegged at $350,000.

“Protect your family from fire and carbon monoxide by having working smoke alarms on every level of your home and working CO alarms outside all sleeping areas… if your home has any fuel burning appliances, a fireplace, or an attached garage,” fire officials added.
