The Municipality of Chatham-Kent Parks, Recreation and Cemeteries in partnership with Chatham-Kent Public Health, ParticipACTION, Ontario Parks, Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority is inviting residents to participate in this year’s Bike Month Contest.
Bike Month Contest takes place from June 1 – June 30, 2021 and encourages residents to rediscover the benefits of cycling, including improving physical health, reducing emissions and air pollution, which improves the air we breathe.
“At the end of this event, we will be tracking all of our collective activity in support of Canada’s ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge,” Municipal officials said in a media release.
“Every minute we track counts towards our Municipalities score and increases our changes of being named Canada’s Most Active Community.”
Community members can participate in the Community Better Challenge as an individual or small group for a chance to win weekly prizes through ParticipACTION.

How to Enter:
– Download the ParticipACTION App
– Submit any physical activity you engage in throughout the week, all physical activity counts towards the Community Better Challenge
– Each week submit a (1) photo to CKTrails@chatham-kent.ca of yourself, family or friends cycling on trails and pathways within Chatham-Kent to be entered into a random draw for prize packs each week
– Include your names, community and trail or street name
Each week two photos will be randomly drawn and featured on the Chatham Kent Trails Social Media pages.
Those featured will win prize packs from Chatham-Kent Trails, Public Health, Ontario Parks and Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority.

– On the Go Bike Repair Kit
– On the Go Bike Pump
– Bike Lights
– Bike Bell
– CK Public Health branded water bottle
– Lower Thames Valley Conservation Area 2021 Parking Pass
– 4 Prize packs will also include Ontario Parks Annual 2021/2022 Park Pass
