Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon at 1 p.m. a 27-year-old Chatham man attended the front desk of the Chatham-Kent Police Service to turn himself in on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Police determined that he was wanted for failing to attend court and failure to comply with his Probation Order.

He was booked into custody and held for a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday evening at 5:30 p.m. police conducted a stop on Queen Street, Chatham.

The 41-year-old Chatham man, who was known to police, was determined to have an arrest warrant issued for failing to comply with his release order.

He was placed under arrest, processed and released pending a future court date.

Woman charged with impaired driving

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 8:52 p.m. yesterday evening, police responded to the report of a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Campus Parkway, Chatham.

Police arrived on scene and determined that a single motor vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree.

Upon speaking to the woman, police believed the she was driving while under the influence of a drug.

A Drug Recognition Expert attended and completed a test Drug Recognition Test, resulting in a Fail.

A 37-year-old woman from Chatham was charged with Operating a motor vehicle while impaired by a drug.

She was released pending a future court date.
