Sarnia Police Service officials allege: On Saturday, May 29, 2021, shortly after 1:30 p.m., officers from the Sarnia Police Service Community Response Division attended a residence in the 700 block of Cardiff Drive to check on the welfare of the occupant.
Officers attended the residence and conducted a search locating a deceased elderly person.
Due to the unknown cause of the death, at that this time, the residence on Cardiff Drive is being held by the Sarnia Police as the investigation continues by the Criminal Investigation Branch and the Coroner’s Office of Ontario.
The death is currently being classified as suspicious pending a post mortem.
The deceased, will not be identified at this time pending confirmation of the identity of the body.
