Fire at animal rescue outside Dresden deemed suspicious

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Sunday morning, shortly after 1 a.m. emergency crews responded to a fire at a trailer on the property of Charlotte’s Freedom Farm on Brook Line in Dresden.

The fire was quickly extinguished.

Damage has been estimated at $15,000.

Thankfully, no humans or animals were injured as a result of the fire.

Police believe the fire is suspicious.

The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office has been called in to assist with the investigation.
