Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, just before midnight, police responded to the area of Base Line and Lindsay Road in regards to two horses on the roadway.
Officers located the horses near Union Line.
With the assistance of a local farmer, the horses were taken to a nearby farm.
Police say this morning the owner of the horses was found.
Officers will be facilitating their return home.
