Black Lives Matter flag stolen in Dresden

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Sunday afternoon, police responded to a theft complaint in Dresden.

Through investigation, police learned that an unknown man stole a Black Lives Matter flag from the corner of Main Street and North Street.

The man fled on a motorcycle.

The same flag was removed from the area the night before and found in a nearby garbage can.

We would like to remind everyone that hate or bias has no place in our society.

This behaviour will not be tolerated here in Chatham-Kent as this form of discrimination undermines everyone’s safety.
