Samuel Calvert Henry Blackbird, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the age of 60.
Sam was the son of the late Betty Jane Blackbird & the late Franklin Calvert Shipman Sr.
Dear brother of Delwood, George, Bernadette, Dexter, Jan (Nanette), Marna (Paul), Frank Jr. and the late Beverly White, Valerie Beavers, Judy Tackwell, Dwain Blackbird and baby sister Jody.
Godfather to Dawn White, Lesley Doxtator, Marliece Blackbird and special uncle to Cheyenne Blackbird and Olivia Blackbird.
Sam will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, many aunts, cousins and his close friend Lance (Small) White.
The family will receive relatives and friends at 236B Austin Road, Walpole Island, from 3 PM on Saturday, June 26 through until Sunday evening.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions masks and social distancing are mandatory.
