Police: Crash leads to impaired charge, warrants arrests, B&E

Man charged with break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Wednesday evening, police received reports of a male party cutting the screen out of a basement window at a residence on Riverview Drive in Chatham.

Upon police arrival, a male was observed walking from the residence.

Police determined the male had attempted to gain entry into the residence.

A 50 year-old Chatham man has been arrested and charged with break and enter.

He was released from custody pending a future court date.

Motor vehicle collision leads to impaired charge

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Wednesday morning, police received reports of a single motor vehicle collision near River View Line and Dillon Road.

The driver fled from the collision on foot.

The Chatham-Kent Police located the driver on foot.

A 29-year-old Chatham man was arrested for operating a conveyance while impaired by drugs.

He was released from custody pending a future court date.

Warrant arrests

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Wednesday afternoon, while on general patrol, police located a 23 year old Walpole man on Base Line in Wallaceburg.

Police checks revealed that he was currently wanted for failing to attend court.

The man was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he has been held pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Wednesday afternoon, while on general patrol, police located a 23 year old Wallaceburg women on Agnes Street in Wallaceburg.

Police checks revealed that she was currently wanted for failing to attend court.

The women was arrested and has been released from custody pending a future court date.
