Fentanyl seized after a drug bust in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, members of the Chatham-Kent Intelligence Section, with the assistance of the Critical Incident Response Team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in Wallaceburg.

Approximately $3,200 worth of suspected fentanyl was seized. Digital scales, cell phones, debt list, Canadian currency and air pistol were also seized.

A 35-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking and three counts of failing to comply with his release conditions as he was currently bound by conditions not to possession any scales, unlawful drugs or weapons.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 29-year-old woman, 23-year-old woman, 28-year-old woman, all from Wallaceburg, were arrested and charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking.

They were all released pending a future court date of September 9, 2021.
