More windows smashed, man faces 14 mischief charges resulting in $30,000 damage

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 7, police arrested a 43-year-old man for mischief and cause disturbance in Wallaceburg.

He was currently on charges for numerous counts of mischief from an incident in Dresden earlier in the week.

As a result, he was transported to CKPS headquarters and held for bail.

On August 8, 2021, the man was released from custody with a future court date.

Approximately two hours after his release, the man began smashing the windows of four local businesses in the area of St. Clair Street in Chatham.

The man was once again arrested and transported to CKPS headquarters where he was held for bail.

This male has accumulated 14 mischief charges and caused over $30,000 in damages to the community.
