Man Charged with Break and Enter
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, a woman in Tilbury called police to report that a man was in her backyard trying to enter her garage.
The man fled on foot as officers arrived in the area. Following a short foot chase, the man was taken into custody.
A 47-year-old man, of no fixed address, was charged with break and enter.
He was released pending a future court date of September 7, 2021.
Suspicious Activity in Park leads to Arrest
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Just before 6 p.m. last night, police responded to the report of a suspicious man and woman in King George Park on Nelson Street in Wallaceburg.
Officers located the pair and through investigation learned that the man was wanted by another police service.
The man was arrested on the outstanding warrants and found to be in possession of keys from a stolen vehicle in the Niagara area, which was recently recovered in Wallaceburg.
The 34-year-old Niagara Falls man was charged with being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.
He remains in police custody this morning.
Break and Enter in Chatham
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Monday at 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday at 8 a.m. unknown suspects forced their way into DeGoey’s Nursery and Flowers Garden Center on St. Clair Street.
Police continue to work with the business to determine what was damaged and/or stolen.

Break and Enter in Wallaceburg
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, around 11:30 a.m. a homeowner on Lorne Avenue heard noise in his residence.
Upon opening his bedroom door, the homeowner observed an unknown man in his home.
The man stole a jewelry box and fled.
