First degree murder charges laid in Walpole Island human remains investigation, two arrested

Lambton OPP officials allege: Investigators have charged two individuals following a joint investigation into the murder of a Windsor man in early 2021.

On August 20, 2021, members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Windsor Police Service, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), arrested and charged:

Rolf Rodley Agard, 31-years old of Windsor with First Degree Murder, Section 235(1) of the Criminal Code.

Dwayne Jahton Blair, 40-years old of Scarborough with First Degree Murder, Section 235(1) of the Criminal Code.

The accused are being held in custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia at a later date.

On March 17, 2021, the remains of Oyebode Oyenuga were found on Walpole Island First Nation.

The deceased was reported missing to the Windsor Police Service in February, 2021.
