Man charged with break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 29-year-old Chatham man was recently evicted from a residence on Park Street in Chatham.

Yesterday morning, the man attended his previous residence and kicked the door several times.

The door broke free of the frame when the complainant called police.

The male fled the area.

While police were speaking with the victim the male returned to the residence and was arrested for breaking and entering a dwelling house to commit mischief.

The male was later released with a future court date of September 29, 2021.

Warrant arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday evening, while on general patrol, police located a male wanted by the Chatham-Kent Police Service for failing to attend court on Colborne Street in the city of Chatham.

The 50-year-old Chatham man was arrested and later released with a future court date of September 23, 2021.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to a call at a housing complex on William Street.

A tenant had shut the power off to the entire building.

Police checks revealed that the tenant was currently wanted for failing to attend court.

A 29-year-old Chatham female was arrested on the strength of her warrant and additionally charged with mischief.

She was released from custody and given a court date of September 21, 2021.

Impaired driver in Tilbury

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police received multiple reports of an impaired driver along Queen Street North in the town of Tilbury.

Police located the suspect vehicle/driver and initiated a traffic stop.

The driver was arrested for operating a conveyance while impaired by alcohol.

A 32-year-old Stoney Point man was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he blew more than double the legal limit.

He was released from custody with a future court date of September 24th, 2021.
