Fourth person charged with first degree murder after a homicide on Walpole Island

Lambton OPP officials allege: A fourth person has now been charged in connection with a homicide on Walpole Island First Nation.

On September 23, 2021, the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit, with assistance from Windsor Police Major Crime, Provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad and OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), arrested and charged Dejour Millington, 23-years-old of Toronto, with First Degree Murder, pursuant to Section 235(1) of the Criminal Code.

The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing on September 24, 2021.

On March 17, 2021, the remains of Oyebode Oyenuga were found on Walpole Island First Nation.

The deceased was reported missing to the Windsor Police Service in February, 2021.

Three other individuals have already been charged with First Degree Murder in connection with this case.
