Police: Industrial accident, fentanyl & gun seized, warrants executed

Warrant executed

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On September 25, members of the CKPS Criminal Investigative Department and Intelligence unit, executed a warrant at a residence on Timmins Crescent in Chatham.

Officers located $20,000 worth of suspected fentanyl and a .22 caliber restricted firearm.

Four people were arrested.

Breach of probation

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On September 25, police responded to the area of Gray Street in Chatham, in response to information that a male was breaching the conditions of his probation.

The 34-year-old Chatham man was located and charged accordingly.

He was released with a future court date of November 2, 2021.

Surety relief warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On September 25, police responded to a male who was acting paranoid and disoriented in the area of Wall Street in Wallaceburg.

Police located the 21-year-old Wallaceburg man and learned he had a surety relief warrant for his arrest.

Police first transported the male to Sydenham District Hospital.

He was cleared medically then transported to South West Detention Centre.

Multiple warrant arrests made for failing to attend court

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On September 25, multiple people with outstanding warrants were arrested in separate incidents for failing to attend court.

None of them were charged for failing to attend court.

A 33 year old Chatham man was arrested in the area of Vanier Street in Chatham and released with a future court date.

A 50 year old Chatham male was arrested in the area of Gray Street in Chatham and released with a future court date.

A 19 year old Wallaceburg female was arrested in the area of Westcourt Boulevard in Wallaceburg and released with a
future court date.

Industrial accident on Sass Road in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The police received a call for injury to an employee at a local industry.

A worker had suffered injuries to their hand causing them to go unconscious.

The employee was treated by ambulance and taken to Public General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The Ministry of Labour was contacted to investigate the incident.

Warrant arrest McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A man was located on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.

He was found to have an outstanding warrant for previous theft and possession charges.

The man was released to attend court on a future date.

Male located in field after argument

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A man exited a vehicle on Longwoods Road after getting involved in an argument.

The man ran into a field and the police were contacted, as there were safety concerns.

Police followed foot prints and heard the man yelling.

The man arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.

Family members attended Chatham-Kent Headquarters and picked up the man.

The man was charged under a Provincial Offence Act for being intoxicated in a public place.
