‘The Gift’ launching once again across Chatham-Kent

‘The Gift’ initiative is launching once again across Chatham-Kent.

On November 20 put a gift on your porch at noon and someone in our community will pick it up and get it into its intended hands, organizers say.

Now until Friday, November 19 find and think of all the needs in our community.

From Saturday, November 20 until the end of holiday season, the entire community is invited to get gifts into intended hands.

Organizers say every single CK citizen’s definition of The Gift is different, beautiful and exactly right.

Every day those definitions grow and change, organizers added.

“The potential of people that are often looked past are going to bring so much to the table. This can grow into an even more holistic celebration for all. There will be a sacred fire burning from Friday, November 19th at 5 p.m. until Saturday, November 20 at 5 p.m. Join us. The Gift belongs to all of us, we are one,” stated Faith Hale, Executive Director Ska:Na Family Learning Centre, in a press release.

“I just couldn’t believe the thoughtfulness in my store last year. Kids shopping for kids, my heart was bursting. This year I’m challenging even more businesses to get involved and I’m going to work with the schools to put up an awesome prize to get even more kids involved. We can go farther,” stated Andrew Bordeau, owner of Toy Wars in Wallaceburg, in a press release.
