Remembrance Day 2021 details for Dresden & Wallaceburg

Remembrance Day is set to be celebrated across the community on Thursday, November 11, 2021.

In Dresden, there will not be a parade of community-wide gathering.

However, officials with Branch 113 in Dresden told the Sydenham Current that a fly over will be taking place at 11 a.m., along with the placing of the wreaths and a moment of silence.

There will also be a meal, with a cost of $15, at Branch 113 at 6:30 p.m.

In Wallaceburg, a service will be held at 11 a.m. at the Cenotaph.

Mike Hindmarsh from Branch 18 says people can stand on the sidewalk by the Cenotaph during the service.

Hindmarsh added people can place wreaths at the Cenetaph before or after the 11 a.m. service, but not during.

Hindmarsh says people are invited to the Legion following the service.
