William MacArthur

Mr. William Wilbert MacArthur, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Wallaceburg,in his 94th year.

William was born in Arthur, Ontario and was a son of the late Lachlan and Edith (Pride) MacArthur.

Beloved husband of Nadine (Evans) MacArthur and predeceased his first wife Theresa (Trembley) MacArthur (1978).

Loving father of Lachlan (Jody) MacArthur, William (Sheri) MacArthur, Joanne O’Neil, Annmarie (Dennis) Alexander, Sherry (Patrick) McGuire and Cindy (Ron) Watson.

Sadly missed by 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, his brother Lloyd and his sisters Fern, Jean and Audrey.

Bill was a loyal employee at Waltec for approximately fourty years. Bill was a respected member of the Wallaceburg Sports community but especially the lacrosse community. He proudly earned a player induction into the Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame. He was a highly visible supporter as fan and ticket seller for Wallaceburg Minor Sports. Bill was also a member of the Masons.

Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
