Youth charged twice in same day

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police responded to a residence in Dover Township in regards to a youth who was found in possession of a cell phone, contrary to his release conditions.

The 15-year-old youth was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions.

Yesterday afternoon, shortly after his release, the youth returned to the residence and caused damage to the home with a hockey stick.

The youth also damage a vehicle parked outside.

The youth was arrested again and charged with mischief under $5,000 and being in possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The youth was released in both cases pending a future court date of December 20, 2021.

Stolen vehicle in Tilbury

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime over the past weekend, unknown suspects stole a 2020 black Ford F-150 Lariat pick-up truck from Tilbury Chrysler on Mill Street West.

The truck was last seen with only a plate attached to the front indicating that the truck was a 2020 model.

Break and enter in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime early yesterday morning between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. an unknown suspect forced their way into a storage room of an apartment building on Witherspoon Street, causing about $100 damage.

Police continue to work with the building manager to determine what, if anything, was stolen.
