​Students at Riverview Central School have been dismissed early on Wednesday, December 8 due to a power outage in the area.
“Due to the power outage and the estimated time of restoration, Lambton Kent District School Board has decided to close the school to students for the day on Wednesday, Dec. 8,” school officials posted on their website.
“The school is notifying parents/guardians and student transportation will be provided to ensure that students are safely transported home.”
School officials added: “It is expected that Riverview Central School will be open to students on Thursday, December 9. Due to the temporary power outage, the phone lines at the school are currently unavailable. In the case of an emergency, please contact the Lambton Kent District School Board at 519-336-1500.”
