Environment Canada has issued a fog advisory across Chatham-Kent.
“Locally dense fog this morning,” forecasters said at 8:52 a.m. on Christmas morning.
“Locally dense fog is expected to persist into this morning. Periods of rain may help lessen the fog in some areas. Motorists are advised to exercise caution. Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.”
