$200,000 damage after a barn fire near Blenheim

Damage is pegged at $200,000 after a barn fire at 20866 Mull Road, near Blenheim.

“Crews from Station #18 – Blenheim, assisted by Station #12 – Harwich North, Station #11 – Ridgetown, and Unit 1-13 responded to 20866 Mull Road for a reported structure fire at 10:46 p.m. yesterday,” fire officials said on Monday, January 3, 2021, in a press release.

“Upon arrival, Station #18 command reported a fully involved barn fire with contents. A defensive attack was established. Water supply was provided by a tanker shuttle and crews dealt with icy conditions while fighting the fire.”

Firefighters extinguished the blaze and the property was turned back to the owner, fire officials say.

EMS and CKPS were on scene for the duration.

The cause of the blaze is undetermined and no injuries reported
