Impaired driving charges laid in St. Clair Township

Lambton OPP officials allege: On January 15, 2022 at 6:30 p.m., the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified by members of the public of a possible impaired driver on Wilkesport Line in St. Clair Township.

Officers located the vehicle and upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent the individual was displaying signs of impairment.

The driver was arrested and transported to the Lambton OPP detachment where they provided two samples of breath above the legal limit.

A 61-year-old man of St. Clair Township, has been charged with the following:

– Operation While Impaired and,

– Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus).

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on January 31, 2022.
