George DeMaeyer

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of George DeMaeyer, of Wallaceburg, who died peacefully with his son and daughter at his side, on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice, at the age of 89.

George was born in Tupperville, Ontario and was a son of the late Edward and Johanna (Seys) DeMaeyer.

He is now reunited with his loving wife, Pat (Cross) DeMaeyer (2020).

Loving father of Daryn (Terry) DeMaeyer and Lori (Chuck) Green. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Jacob (Alison), Caleb (Maija), Krystin (Nicholas), Julia and Zachary.

George was the kind brother and brother-in-law of Lorraine and Melvin Bechard and Don and Stella Webster, Molly Cross and Harriet Cross. Predeceased by his brothers Cyril, Albert, Frank, Joe and Lawrence. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Many will remember George for his vegetable garden, his canning, his love of the outdoors and of course, his love for his family.

Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of the funeral home.

Interment in Riverview Cemetery.
