Man charged with failing to comply
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On September 8, 2021 the man was released from Court with several conditions.
Two of those conditions stated that he was not to communicate with a specific Chatham woman or attend her home.
Around 7 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a disturbance at the woman’s home and located the man on her property.
The 27-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release order.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Traffic stop leads to charges
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, an officer on general patrol observed a man driving in Ridgetown pulling a wagon.
A traffic stop was initiated and through investigation police learned that the wagon was stolen.
A 40-year-old Chatham man and a 43-year-old Thamesville were both arrested and charged with possession of stolen property obtained by crime over $5,000.
They were both released with a future court date.
The property was returned to the rightful owner.
