The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) has announced that the COVID-19 outbreak declared in the Medicine A Unit at the Chatham Site on March 1, 2022 has been declared over by CK Public Health.
“There are no active COVID-19 outbreaks at CKHA at this time,” hospital officials said in a media release.
“CKHA would like to thank CK Public Health for their guidance and support during this outbreak, and the hospital’s staff and physicians for their continued commitment to providing safe, high quality care under these difficult circumstances.”
Infection Prevention and Control measures will remain in place across the organization and CKHA will continue to review and monitor the impact of the pandemic on its operations, hospital officials added.
“CKHA’s Essential Visitor and Care Partner Access policy remains in Phase 3 ‘Green’,” CKHA officials say.
“With the outbreak declared over, Medicine A will revert back to Phase 3 ‘Green’ restrictions. Please see CKHA’s website for further details on visiting restrictions. Questions or concerns about visitor restrictions can be directed to the primary nurse and/or Patient Relations.”
CKHA is reminding the community that the hospital remains a safe place to receive care, hospital officials say.
“If you are experiencing an emergent acute care need, please do not hesitate to dial 911 or visit your nearest Emergency Department,” hospital officials added.
