It is with great sadness that the family of Kathy (Turbucz) Poirier, announce her passing surrounded by love and joy, in Chatham on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the age of 53.
Kathy leaves behind her loving husband Claude, her son Adam Poirier (Keila MacPherson), and daughters Ashley Turbucz (Mo Guerrero), Cheyenne Poirier (Craig Peters), and Shantelle Nash (Joel Nash), four much loved grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Kathy was predeceased by her mother, Jeanne Jauniaux, and as well as her father, Joe Turbucz.
Kathy was always loving and giving, she cared for of her whole family, friends, neighbours and teammates, all of who helped form lasting memories of happiness and kindness.
A special thank you to all of the homecare angels from Bayshore, VON and the Chatham Hospital, as well as everyone who came by to visit and chat over the years. Kathy had a fondness for all things Disney, especially her favourite, Winne the Pooh.
She once played basketball with rock star Ted Nugent, spent many a lazy summer day fishing with her grandfather’s friend Perry Como, and was the direct descendant of French Royalty.
A memorial service will be held at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Thursday, April 14 at 12 noon with visiting in the two hours prior, from 10 – 12 for all of those who to wish to gather and reminisce on Kathy’s amazing life.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Head and Neck Above Cancer charity of the London Health Sciences Centre may be left at the funeral home 519.627.3231.
