Chatham-Kent OPP officials allege: On April 24, 2022 at approximately 5:15 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Chatham Kent detachment responded to a collision involving two commercial motor vehicles on Highway 401 near Tilbury.
The crash occurred when the driver of one of the transport trucks collided with the rear end of another transport that had slowed due to traffic in a construction zone.
A 22-year-old resident of Niagara Falls, Ontario is charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
There were no injuries.
The highway was closed to traffic to facilitate removal of the involved vehicles.
