Mr. Brian Aloysius Peter Bogaert, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus, with his family by his side, at the age of 74 years.
He was born in Chatham and was a son of the late Joseph and Elodie (Van Damme) Bogaert.
Beloved husband of Mary Agnes (Van Waterschoot) Bogaert.
Loving father of Christine ( John) Zelina, Brent (Shannon) Bogaert, Brad (Lorrie) Bogaert and Chad (Maegan) Bogaert.
Cherished grandfather of Kirsten, Meghan, Addison, Nolan, Brodie, Brooklyn, Ella, Blake, Aubrey and Lia.
Kind brother of Diane Andrews and the late Dennis (Laurie) Bogaert.
Kind brother-in-law of the late Lisa (the late Bob) Hunter, the late Hilda (Hugo) Menheere, Henrietta (the late Leo) DeSmit, Carla (the late Kent) Peterson, Peter (Linda) Van Waterschoot, Mary Lou (the late Jerry) Van Daele.
He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The late Brian Bogaert is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg.
Following his wishes cremation has taken place.
Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m.
A private family interment will take place at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association may be left at the funeral home.
