Man arrested in Wallaceburg break and enter investigation

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 38-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after a reported break and enter at an unoccupied residence in Wallaceburg.

Police say officers responded to a call on Murray Street on March 31, 2026, at approximately 10:51 a.m., where a break and enter was reported in progress.

Investigators determined the home was supposed to be unoccupied. Officers located the man inside and safely removed him from the residence. Police say further investigation revealed he did not have permission to be there.

He was arrested and charged with break and enter with intent to commit theft. The accused was later released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on June 24, 2026.
