Wallaceburg Red Devils launch puzzle board fundraiser

The Wallaceburg Red Devils Junior ‘B’ Lacrosse Club has launched a unique new fundraiser to help the team keep the sticks moving.

Now available is the limited-time Red Devils display puzzle board, featuring a laser engraved logo.

“Lacrosse is a big in Wallaceburg,” said Samantha McFadden, Wallaceburg Red Devils Lacrosse Club Board Member, in a media release.

“The past two years have been quite the ride with the cancellation of regular season play in 2020 and all of the challenges that have gone along with COVID, but we are so excited to be back and running for this season. We’re asking the community to help support this fundraiser as it will mean so much to our members and help keep our club going.”

Each display puzzle board is made locally thanks to a partnership with Hill Valley Maker, a small business located in Chatham-Kent.

They are available for $39.50 each with $10 from every Red Devils puzzle purchase going to support the team.

“I’m a one-person small business right now and don’t have the resources to be a sponsor, but I do have the ability to find creative solutions to help,” said Andrew Tompsett, Hill Valley Maker Owner, in a media release.

“This works out really well for everyone as it gives the Red Devils support, the community a chance to own a unique piece that has never existed, and I can cover my production.”

The puzzles are made from premium PureBond wood, using non-toxic paint, and finished with food-safe oil.

“They make a great gift for family and friends or ideal sports memorabilia, sign for your home bar, serving tray, or as a display piece,” McFadden added.

“We hope everyone loves them as much as we do.”

The fundraising sale started last month and orders can be placed online by visiting www.hillvalleymaker.ca or by contacting your local Red Devils team member.
