Police: Property line dispute and mischief, stolen vehicle, firearm pointed during dispute

Mischief in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 14, 2022 a 57-year-old man drove his combine into a fence line and onto the homeowners properties after a lengthy dispute, five years, about the property line.

Seven properties had their fence knocked over and it was determined through investigation that the incident was intentional.

The man was located and arrested for seven counts of mischief, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was released with a court date of June 22, 2022

Weapons in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 14, 2022, police were contacted to attend a residence regarding fight between a group of people.

Information was that a 37-year-old woman had attended the address with a knife and an argument ensued inside the residence.

The issue continued outside where it was reported that a 34-year-old Chatham man pointed a firearm at the female.

The female then reported being assaulted by a 35-year-old woman that was at the residence.

All three parties were arrested, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where the females were released with a court date of June 15, 2022 and the male was held for a bail hearing.

Assault in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 14, 2022 police attended for a neighbor dispute that had resulted in a 64-year-old Chatham woman being arrested for assaulting her 70-year-old neighbor.

The woman was arrested for assault and released with a court date of June 10, 2022 .

Stolen vehicle

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 14, 2022 police attended for a stolen vehicle complaint on Northwood Line in Harwich Township.

The vehicle involved is a black 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 crew cab with “Triple P Farms” on the side of the box and a large white fuel tank in the bed of the truck.

The plate on the vehicle at the time was Ontario marker 4835FC.
