Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 19-year-old Dresden man is facing multiple charges following an alleged disturbance involving a knife in Dresden.
The said officers responded Sunday at about 5:24 p.m. to a residence on St. George Street.
Police said an investigation determined the accused allegedly brandished a knife during a verbal dispute, uttered threats and advanced toward the victim while armed. The victim and a witness were able to retreat safely and contact police.
Officers later attended the residence and arrested the accused without incident.
The man is charged with breach of recognizance, uttering threats to cause death, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Police said the accused was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
