Man arrested for bail violation

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On June 27, 2021 the man was released by the courts with a condition to report to the Bail Supervision Program at the John Howard Society.

On May 3, 2022 the man failed to comply with this release condition.

After several attempts to locate the man, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On May 17, 2022 the 38-year-old Wallaceburg man attended police headquarters and turned himself into police.

He was held for a bail hearing and subsequently released by the court with conditions and a future court date.

Man arrested for domestic offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 13, 2022 police responded to a domestic disturbance on King Street East in Chatham.

Through investigation the police learned the man engaged in a verbal argument with the woman.

The argument escalated when the man threw household items at the woman causing her minor injuries.

He also kicked her front door causing damage.

The man left the residence prior to police arrival.

Attempts to locate the man were unsuccessful and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

The man was charged with mischief, assault with a weapon and assault.

On May 17, 2022 at 5:14 p.m. the man attended police headquarters and turned himself into police.

The 36-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and later released with conditions and a future court date of June 14, 2022.
