By Sharon Campbell Rayment – Special to the Sydenham Current
Imagine standing by a lake with vast trees and the smells of the earth.
What does it feel like?
Pause for a moment and reflect upon this.
I feel God.
I also feel God when my family is together, and we are laughing.
I also feel God when I stand out with my horses in the silence.
God is in every moment.
In the simple things and the grandeur.
It doesn’t have to be a soaring moment.
It can be a quiet moment.
Or it can be a moment of laughter and cheer.
We often say we must be quiet to experience the presence of God, but I believe that God is present in every moment, even the fun and laughter I can feel God in 60 second shift of the APB of inner harmony.
When I do the APB for inner harmony, I gain Awareness, Pause, and take three breaths connecting within, connecting with God, and sending love out into the world.
Yes, that is where I feel God.
I would not have learned to cope after the accident without it.
And I harp on this because I have heard from so many people that this is working for them to feel grounded, present, and reconnected.
So elusively simple.
Yet a way that we can connect within to know God, the Essence that dwells within more deeply.
Let’s do it now – the APB of inner harmony.
I breathe in hope… I breathe out feelings of hopelessness
I breathe in peace… I release feelings of fear
I breathe in gratitude… I breathe out love to all
Amen God – Make it so.
Recently at Trinity United we shared a unique experience of walking the labyrinth.
We shared a finger labyrinth that you can use to create focus, inner calm, and awaken the soul.
It helped renew a sense of community, connection, and hope.
Until then my friends, remember that every breath you take is a breath of God and unites us as one, One Breathe,
One Heartbeat, One Song. Many blessings.
