Woman arrested for intoxicated in a public place
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday at 2:26 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on a woman walking on Murray Street in Chatham.
Police attended the area and found the woman intoxicated and unable to care for herself.
The 60-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.
She was transported to police headquarters and held until she was sober.
Two women arrested for criminal harassment
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 22, 2022, at 8:03 a.m., the two women were advised to cease all communication with a man and woman.
The communication was not wanted and could result in charges.
Police learned the women continued the unwanted communication after being cautioned.
Last night at 8:51 p.m., police located and arrested both women.
A 28-year-old Chatham woman and a 47-year-old Wallaceburg woman were charged with criminal harassment.
They were transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date of June 29, 2022.
Traffic enforcement continues
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday, members of the Traffic Unit conducted enforcement throughout the municipality, specifically on Pain Court Line in Dover Township, Longwoods Road in Chatham Township, McNaughton Avenue in Chatham, and Charing Cross Road in Harwich Township.
The Light Detection and Ranging device (LiDAR) was utilized.
A total of 12 Provincial Offences Notices were issued.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service reminds motorists to obey the speed limit.
