On July 7, 2022, in his 100th year, George Leonard Whatmore was reunited with his beloved wife Eleanor (2014).
He will be lovingly remembered by daughters Linda (Bob) Hendry, Cynthia Thompson and Rebecca Whatmore.
Cherished grandpa to Jamie Hendry, Christopher Thompson, Kathrine Thompson and great grandpa to James Thompson.
George retired from The Wallaceburg Brass Factory and enjoyed square dancing and spending time on his boat on our local water ways.
His family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the staff and volunteers at Park St. Retirement Home (Dresden) for all their care and compassion over the years.
Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 10 am until the time of his funeral service in the chapel at 12pm.
George will be laid to rest beside his wife at Riverview Cemetery.
