93 new COVID-19 cases reported in Chatham-Kent

The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit provided the latest COVID-19 statistics in the community on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

Zero new deaths were reported.

A total of 81 Chatham-Kent residents have died from the virus since the pandemic began in March of 2020, public health officials say.

CK Public Health officials say 93 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Wednesday, increasing the total number of cases to 9,043 since the pandemic began.

The current seven day rolling average case count (average number per day) is at 13.

Five otbreaks have been declared across Chatham-Kent, including two at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and three at long-term care homes.

A total of 230,670 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to date, 85,178 people 5+ have received at least one dose, 82,329 people 5+ have received two doses and 51,089 people 5+ have received three doses.

CK Public Health officials say as of the week of May 1 the Chatham-Kent COVID-19 Surveillance Report will be updated once per week on Wednesdays by 11 a.m.
