Chief Gary Conn has suffered a medical condition requiring him to take some sick time, Chatham-Kent Police Services Board officials stated in a media release on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
“He is doing well and recovering at home for a short period of time,” Patrick Weaver, Chair of the Chatham-Kent Police Services Board, said in a media release.
“At the direction of the Police Services Board, Deputy Chief Kirk Earley is now appointed Acting Chief until such time as the Chief may return to active duty.”
Weaver added it is expected Chief Conn will make a full and speedy recovery.
