Theft arrest leads to obstruct charges in Chatham
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A woman was arrested for theft at a local business on St Clair Street Chatham.
During the investigation the woman provided a false name.
The woman was found to have an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court.
The woman was transported to Chatham-Kent Headquarters and charged with theft under and obstructing a police officer.
The woman was released on all charges with a future court date of October 3, 2022.
Intoxicated man arrested in Wheatley
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A call was received for an intoxicated man at an apartment complex in the area Little Street Wheatley.
The man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.
It was also found the man had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The man was transported to Chatham-Kent Headquarters and was to be released when sober with a future court date of October 3, 2022.
Break and enter
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 26, at approximately 7:30 a.m., police responded to a break and enter complaint in the area of Birchwood St., Chatham.
Police learned sometime overnight, unknown suspects entered an unlocked garage door and stole several items.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 26, police were called to an address in the area of Regal Dr., Chatham.
Police learned that between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., unknown suspects entered a residence through an unlocked window and stole thousands of dollar’s worth of items.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 26, at approximately 6:30 p.m. police located a 50-year-old Chatham female who had an active warrant for failing to comply with her probation.
Police arrested the female and released her with a future court date.
