Woman arrested for criminal harassment

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 27, 2022, the Chatham-Kent Police began investigating a criminal harassment complaint.

It was reported a man was receiving unwanted communication from the woman.

The woman was cautioned several times but continued to contact the man.

On September 5, 2022, the woman was located and arrested.

The 41-year-old Chatham woman was charged with criminal harassment.

She was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of October 17, 2022.

Youth arrested for mischief

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On September 2, 2022, police responded to a residence on Patteson Avenue in Chatham for trouble with youth.

It was reported there was an ongoing issue with youths knocking, kicking, and throwing rocks at the home.

As a result, a window was damaged.

Through investigation, police identified one youth involved in the mischief.

The 14-year-old Chatham male youth was located and arrested.

He was charged with mischief and transported to police headquarters.

He was later released to a parent with conditions and a future court date.

Man arrested for domestic offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 12:25 p.m., police responded to a domestic incident in Chatham.

It was reported the man had made concerning comments directed toward his ex-partner’s new boyfriend.

Through investigation, police learned the man had assaulted the woman previously.

The 30-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with uttering threats and assault with a weapon.

He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of October 17, 2022.
