Uride has become the first official sponsor of the Chatham-Kent Cubs 16u team.
Team officials say Uride has generously donated $1,500 toward the group of 16-year-old baseball players in the community.
The Chatham-Kent Cubs 16u is affiliated with the Fergie Jenkins Showcase League.
The group of players will be playing elite baseball throughout Ontario in a league created in honour of local hero, Fergie Jenkins.
The Uride logo will appear on the helmets of each of the players throughout the 2023 season.
“We are grateful to Uride for showing their support to the Chatham-Kent Cubs 16u team,” said Head Coach Paul Brown, in a media release.
“Their sponsorship will be used towards ensuring that this group of players will have the opportunity to play competitive baseball at an affordable cost.”
