Seven COVID-19 outbreaks active across Chatham-Kent

The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit provided the latest COVID-19 statistics in the community on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Seven outbreaks have been declared and are active across Chatham-Kent, including:

– Hudson Manor a retirement home in Tilbury, declared on September 4, 2022, involving 16 positive cases.

– Riverview Gardens a long-term care home in Chatham, declared on September 4, 2022, involving 19 positive cases.

– Maple City Retirement Residence a retirement home in Chatham, declared on September 6, 2022, involving 16 positive cases.

– Village on the Ridge a retirement home in Ridgetown, declared on September 8, 2022, involving 24 positive cases.

– St. Andrew’s Residence a retirement home in Chatham, declared on September 12, 2022, involving 13 positive cases.

– Chatham Retirement Resort a retirement home in Chatham, declared on September 13, 2022, involving 10 positive cases.

– An un-named group home, declared on September 13, 2022, involving two positive cases.

A total of 86 Chatham-Kent residents have died from the virus since the pandemic began in March of 2020, public health officials say.

CK Public Health officials say 101 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Wednesday, increasing the total number of cases to 9,736 since the pandemic began.

The current seven day rolling average case count (average number per day) is at 15.
